Thinning the forest can create favorable habitats for wildlife
Roads are graded off and landing areas are cleaned up for landowner use when the harvest is complete. The company also has a bulldozer to do clean-up when necessary. Many times those same roadways and landing areas will be used again in 8-10 years when another harvest is done.
Landowners often use the trails for hiking and 4-wheeler trails. It often increases the landowner's ability to utilize his/her property for recreational purposes.
